Big Rig Crashes on Freeway Transition Road in Pasadena

The transition road was closed early Monday as crews repaired a guardrail damaged in the crash

A jack-knifed semi-trailer truck prompted the closure of an eastbound 134 Freeway transition road early Monday in Pasadena.

The crash occurred on the transition road as the trucker traveled from the eastbound 134 Freeway to the westbound 210 Freeway. One of the truck's two trailers disconnected, leading to the jack-knife, according to the California Highway Patrol.

No injuries were reported. A guardrail was damaged in the crash.

The big rig was towed from the location, but authorities said the 134 Freeway transition will remain closed until guardrail repairs are complete.The transition was expected to reopen at about 11 a.m., according to the CHP's incident log.

Several crashes were reported late Sunday and early Monday as another round of rain moved through Southern California.
