A body was found early Friday inside a burned car parked on a Pomona street.
Firefighters responded to the 1400 block of South Park Avenue about 4 a.m. after a report of a car fire. Police said they also received reports of gunfire in the area, but it was not immediately clear whether the person in the car had be shot.
When crews arrived to put out the fire that engulfed the front end of the white Chevy Malibu, crews found the body of a young man inside that had been badly burned.
Shell casings were also found scattered around the car.
The individual's identity was not immediately determined.
