Body of Missing Ontario Mother Found Near Homeless Encampment

A coroner's report revealed the cause of death was sharp force injury to the chest.

Ontario detectives on Friday identified a suspect in connection with the murder of Sally Michel Mityas, a mother who went missing earlier this month.

The San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office issued a $1 million warrant for the arrest of Tomas Sarinana, the Ontario Police Department said.

Mityas' body was found by a homeless encampment Monday at the1800 block of Gillette Road in Pomona, the Los Angeles County coroner's spokesman Ed Winter said.

A coroner's report concluded her death was a homicide and revealed she had suffered sharp force injury to the chest.

Mityas, 33, was reported missing by her boyfriend Eddie Sarinana on Sept. 4, after she was last seen leaving her home in the 1600 block of Briar Ave in Ontario.

Mityas and her boyfriend lived in the same house with their three children, ages 1, 5 and 7, and Sarinana's two brothers, police said.
