14-Year-Old Boy Dies After Gang Attack in Santa Ana

A 14-year-old boy died from wounds he suffered during a gang-related stabbing in Santa Ana, authorities announced Saturday.

The attack happened about 7:20 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of South Townsend Street, where police found the teen suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper torso.

Several males are suspected of having carried out the attack, police said.

The boy was taken to the hospital where he died several hours later, the Santa Ana Police Department said in a news release.

The victim’s name is being withheld while police notify his family.

The department is offering rewards for information leading to the attackers’ arrest, but did not release a specific figure.
