No injuries were reported Saturday when a vehicle crashed into the kitchen area of an apartment in a Wilmington building, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 1:10 p.m. at 1043 North Gulf Ave., Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The affected apartment was on the first floor of the two-story building, Stewart said.
An LAFD Urban Search and Rescue unit conducted an evaluation of the damage to determined whether shoring was needed, and a Los Angeles City Building and Safety inspector was expected to determine whether any part of the structure was unsafe, she said.
