Choo-Choo Chills: Ghost Train Tickets Now on Sale

It's beloved, oh boy, so you can bet tickets'll sell out soon.

What to Know

  • Opens Oct. 13
  • LA Live Steamers in Griffith Park
  • $25 and $30 advance tickets, $20 walk-up

You're not a last-minute, down-to-the-wire person, at least when it comes to getting from Point A to Point B.

Which means that you're going to secure your bus pass, your plane seat, or your trip on the rails well ahead of when you arrive at the station, the airport, or the platform.

But what if your trip was a once-a-year treat that didn't proceed from Point A to Point B but did travel from Point A to Point Be Chilled 'n Thrilled?

You'd be on the Ghost Train, the ever-popular, has-a-way-of-selling-out seasonal treat from the LA Live Steamers.

This is the sweet and not-so-scary ride on the small, sit-atop choo-choo, the one that wends through the darker pockets of Griffith Park's northern edge for well over 20 minutes.

Tickets are on sale as of Saturday, Sept. 1, and there are two ahead-of-time options: Express, meaning entry is by the half hour on the date you choose, and Advanced Purchase, which means you can skip the outside-the-gate line and join the inside queue.
