Have you ever dreamed of being on the field at Dodger Stadium? Hobnobbing with celebrities and athletes alike?
If you answered yes, now's your chance.
Los Angeles Dodgers three-time Cy Young Award winning pitcher Clayton Kershaw, and his wife Ellen, are hosting the 7th annual "Kershaw's Challenge Ping-Pong 4 Purpose Celebrity Tournament" on Thursday, August 8 at Dodger Stadium.
The annual tournament is a charity fundraising event with the proceeds going towards children and community initiatives worldwide.
If you're a fan of the Dodgers, the fast-paced sport of ping-pong or simply want to go out and have a good time, this event is for you.
The annual summer showdown originated in 2013, and started off as a simple ping-pong tournament between teammates and a few celebrity friends, in order to raise money for Clayton and Ellen's charity, Kershaw's Challenge.
However, as the years went on the tournament transformed into one of the premier events in Los Angeles. Featuring venerated athletes, musicians, actors, and major sponsors, the night is an action-packed entertainment experience unlike any other.
"The ping-pong event has become a highlight for us every year," said Ellen and Clayton Kershaw. "It's awesome to have so many teammates and friends from the LA community to come out and support a cause that is so important to us. Kershaw's Challenge is able to give away funds to our beneficiaries because we have such a wide base of support. PingPong4Purpose serves a great purpose…and it is also a lot of fun. August 8th is shaping up to be our best event yet! A great night for a great cause—come join us!"
In addition to the intense ping-pong tournament, last year's sold out event featured a catered dinner, gifting, a full bar, poker, a silent auction, and more. For the last seven years, the event as featured superstar athletes and entertainers such as Matthew McConaughey, Bryan Cranston, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Jamie Foxx, Susan Sarandon, Will Ferrell, Jimmy Kimmel, Jack Black, Jason Bateman, Sarah Hyland, Eric Stonestreet, Justin Hartley, Kunal Nayyar, Josh Duhamel, Mario Lopez, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Blake Griffin, Oscar De La Hoya, Chris Paul and the entirety of the Dodgers 25-man roster.
This year, Clayton and Ellen will honor country music sensation Brad Paisley and his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, with the "Impact Award" for their impact on the community.

Presenting Sponsors include UCLA, Mattel, Children's Hospital, TOMS, HiHo Cheeseburger, SPIN, and STIGA.
