Cody Bellinger had another multi-homer game and the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Cleveland Indians, 7-5, in their first interleague game of the season at Progressive Field on Tuesday night.
Bellinger teed off against one of the best relievers in baseball when he sent a slider from Andrew Miller just over the fence in left-center for his team-leading 16th home run of the season. It was Miller's first homer allowed this season.
But the Boy Wonder wasn't done, as he sent the second pitch he saw from left-hander Boone Logan deep into the seats in left field, for a no-doubt-about-it blast in the top of the ninth.
Bellinger now has back-to-back multi-homer games, and is one shy of the Dodgers all-time rookie record of five, set by Mike Piazza in 1993.

The 21-year-old rookie is just three homers shy of Adrian Beltre's rookie record of 20 home runs by a Dodger player 21 years of age or younger, and has the most homers in MLB history by a player in their first 45 games tying the New York Yankees' Gary Sanchez.
Bellinger leads the Dodgers in home runs (17) and RBI (39) despite playing just 45 games this season.
Yasiel Puig got the scoring started for the boys in blue in the top of the second inning, when he took Trevor Bauer deep for an opposite field home run that gave the Dodgers an early 2-0 lead.
However, drama and controversy arose after the trot around the bases as Puig appeared to flip off someone at Progressive Field as he headed back to the Dodgers' dugout.

Bauer allowed two runs on six hits with three walks and five strikeouts but did not factor in the decision. Fans in Los Angeles may remember Bauer from the 2016 MLB Playoffs when he famously sliced open his finger on a drone before pitching in the ALCS.

Clayton Kershaw was cruising through the first four innings before he ran into some trouble in the fifth, allowing a game-tying homer to Cleveland catcher Roberto Perez.

Thanks to Bellinger, Kershaw (9-2), still earned the win, allowing just two runs on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts in seven solid innings. Kershaw has allowed a team-high 13 home runs this season.
Tuesday marked Kershaw's first ever start in Cleveland in what could be a potential World Series matchup this fall.
Daniel Robertson hit his first home run of the season off Chris Hatcher with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to cut the LA lead to 7-5.
Kenley Jansen recorded the final out of the game for his 12th save of the season and 201st in his MLB career.
The last time the Dodgers played in Cleveland was on June 15, 2003 and Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts was the leadoff hitter that day.
The victory gave the Dodgers a five-game win streak and are now tied for first place in the National League West after the Colorado Rockies lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates, 5-2, earlier in the day.
