When it comes to athletics, and the spirit of spirited competition, a lot of talk can surround the topic of inclusivity, and whether or not particular events truly live what that means.

Angel City Games, which is marking its first half-decade anniversary in 2019, is a standard-bearer for this important ideal.

The "inclusive competition," which is presented by The Hartford, includes a host of events, over four days, that are "... open to athletes of all skill levels who have physical or visual impairments."

To cheer on the strength, training, and amazing talents of these athletes, head for Drake Stadium at UCLA from June 20 through 23, where a full-to-brimming schedule will give competitive sports fans plenty to enjoy.

There are seven Adaptive Sports Competitions in all at Angel City Games, including Track & Field, Swimming, Wheelchair Tennis, Archery, Wheelchair Basketball, Sitting Volleyball, and Table Tennis.

There are Adaptive Sports Clinics, too, if you'd like to "learn from expert coaches and Paralympic athletes." You'll also have the opportunity to go "against the clock" while putting the skills you've burnished to the test.

Oh yes, and other athletes, too, if that's your preference.

A ticket to one of the competitions? A $10 donation is suggested.
