DTLA Hotel Offers Helipad for Valentine's Proposals

Go sky high with your sweet words at the DoubleTree by Hilton.

What to Know

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Los Angeles Downtown
  • "Ring on the Rooftop" engagement package
  • Rooftop will be reserved for one or two lucky couples on Thursday, Feb. 14, depending on the time desired.

Helipads?

We do see quite a few of them on the big screen, in adventure-type films, but as far as real life goes, most of us generally live fairly helipad-less lives.

After all, we're often zipping around closer to terra firma, on foot and in vehicles, and not choppering by the skyscrapers of downtown Los Angeles.

There is a way, though, to add more helipad to your world, and to do it in quite the luxurious and lovey-dovey fashion. For the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Los Angeles Downtown has a Valentine's Day package for 2019, an experience that, yes, involves the hotel's high-in-the-sky helipad.

The hope? That the picturesque, view-laden spot might be used for the popping of the question on the romantic holiday.

The "Ring on the Rooftop" engagement package has a number of other kiss-worthy components, including "(a)ppetizers and adult beverages" served at the helipad, a private car sent to pick up your paramour, the Presidential Suite for two nights, breakfast in bed, and dinner in the Kyoto Garden "for up to ten people."

Plus? If you'd like a bestie or two on the helipad with you, during the proposal, that's cool: You can invite a pair of pals up to see the whole sweet scene. And a professional photographer is at the ready, too.

Good to note? This is the helipad, we're talking about, and not a helicopter ride. Cool? Yep. Very.

The cost? It's as swanky as all get-out, with a kick-off price of $15,000. Yep, that includes the other goodies, in addition to your time at the top of the DTLA hotel.

If this tempts, keep in mind that Valentine's Day is just three weeks away, and your fancy expression d'amour will take a bit of planning. So get in touch with the hotel at once, and start planning your above-it-all engagement-enchanting "will you marry me?" moment.

As far as a more traditional Valentine's Day getaway? The hotel has a special for couples not going with the helipad-based popping of the question. Find out more here.
