A woman was struck by a car and dragged for several feet on a street in Beverly Hills and police searched Wednesday for the driver of the vehicle, believed to be the woman's daughter, who fled the scene.
Officers responded around 6 p.m. Tuesday to a family dispute in the 200 block of North Canon Drive and located the victim, who had suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to Lt. Elisabeth Albanese of the Beverly Hills Police Department.
The dispute was between a mother and daughter.
"At some point, the mother was either pushed or got out of the vehicle," BHPD Capt. Lincoln Hoshino said. "As the other family member drove away, she (the mother) tried to hang on to the vehicle."
The woman was dragged 10 feet before falling and the daughter drove a short distance away, then turned around to retrieve an item in the street.
"Witnesses described it as a purse or bag," Hoshino said. "She did not stop to render aid and she left the scene."
The mother was hospitalized in unknown condition with head and leg injuries.
