One person was killed and four others were critically injured Sunday night in a head-on crash in Anaheim, a police sergeant said.
The crash took place just before 9 p.m. on Cerritos Avenue, Anaheim Sgt. Daron Wyatt said. The crash has shut down Cerritos Avenue between Dallas Drive and Whitegate Road for the death investigation.
One man was in one vehicle and four other men were in the second vehicle, Wyatt said.
All five were taken to a hospital for treatment. They were all listed in critical condition. One of the men later died at the hospital.
His name was withheld pending notification of kin.
There's no word yet as to whether drugs and/or alcohol played a role in the crash, Wyatt said. The investigation into the crash was continuing, he said.
