One Dead, Three Critically Injured in Santa Ana Crash

A crash killed one person and critically injured three in Santa Ana early Saturday, authorities said.

About 1:50 a.m., a sedan and a pick-up truck collided near the intersection of West McFadden Avenue and South Mohawk Drive, according to Steve Concialdi, spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority.

The sedan was traveling the wrong direction, according to Santa Ana police Sgt. Don Humphrey.

In the sedan, one man died and two men were critically injured, Concialdi said. A woman in the pick-up truck was critically injured.

The injured were hospitalized and investigators were expected to be at the scene well into the morning.
