    Teacher Accused of Having Sexual Relationship With High School Student

    Katherine O'Neill, a teacher at Barstow High School, was arrested on Friday, March 15, 2019 in connection with a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.

    A 51-year-old teacher from Barstow was arrested in connection with having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student at Barstow High School, officials said.

    Katherine O'Neill, was arrested Friday after San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a suspected inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a student at Barstow High School, officials said.

    The suspect, who has been on administrative leave since October, is accused of exchanging explicit text messages with the minor which contained obscene matter, San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials said in a news release.
