The Dodgers now have three double-digit streaks this season.
However, the most recent one is not the kind you want.
Mark Reynolds hit a grand slam and the Colorado Rockies completed the sweep over the Los Angeles Dodgers with a commanding, 8-1 shutout victory to send the team with the best record in baseball to their 10th consecutive loss on Sunday at Dodger Stadium.
The reeling Dodgers have lost nine consecutive games at home, 15 of 16 overall, and were swept for the third time in the last two weeks.
"We have a very frustrated and upset clubhouse," said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts after the game. "There's really no explanation, we just have to find a way to win a game."
Nevertheless, despite the impending doom that is currently being felt by Dodger fans across the country, Los Angeles still has the best record in baseball at 92-51 and a nine game lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the N.L. West division.
Nolan Arenado provided the first two runs of the game for the red-hot Rockies as he knocked in D.J. LeMahieu with an RBI single in the first inning and hit a home run to down the left-field line in the top of the third.

Reynolds broke the game open in the top of the eighth when he hit a grand slam off wunderkind pitcher, Walker Buehler.

The grand slam was the prodigal son's first home run and runs allowed this season as Buehler was making his second relief appearance after two scoreless innings in his debut on Thursday night.
Tyler Chatwood (7-12) got the victory, as he surrendered just five hits with two walks and five strikeouts in five shutout innings for the Rockies who have won six straight games on the road.
The Dodgers avoided the shutout thanks to September call up, Alex Verdugo, who launched the first home run of his MLB career when he crushed a 93MPH fastball from Adam Ottavino over the wall in left-center for L.A.'s first run of the game.
"You have to score to win and we didn't," said Roberts. "Each day, I look at myself and say, 'Is there something I could have done to help us?' because that's my job. It's all of us staying together and not jumping ship."
Rich Hill (9-8) pitched well in the loss, allowing just two runs on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts in five innings. Hill has not gotten much run support as the Dodgers have either been shutout, or scored just one run in three of his last four starts.
"Today was just one of those days where I had to go out there and compete," said Hill who admitted he was not his best self on Sunday. "I competed with everything I had today without having my best stuff."
Trevor Story homered for the second straight game as he sent a 95MPH fastball from Tony Cingrani into the bleacher seats in centerfield in the top of the ninth.

The Dodgers 10-game losing streak, ties the mark set in June of 1992 by a team that finished with 99 losses.
According to Elias Sports Bureau, the Dodgers are the fourth team in MLB history to win 14 of 15 games and lose 14 of 15 games in the same season. The last team to do it was the 1959 Kansas City Athletics, a span over nearly 60 years!
