Woman in Stolen Car Arrested After Trying to Strike Officers During Pursuit

A woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly tried to hit officers with a stolen vehicle, which resulted in a high-speed chase through Los Angeles.

The pursuit began at approximately 10:30 p.m. in South Los Angeles, where police observeded a stolen car and saw a woman get inside. She attempted to strike officers with the vehicle before taking off. No officers were injured.

The high-speed driver reached speeds of up to 75 mph as she hopped on multiple freeways and weaved through neighborhoods on surface streets. The vehicle's tires were popped and police deployed spike strips in order to detain the suspect.
