A 3.5-magnitude earthquake shook the Boron area Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor hit at 6:27 a.m., roughly 12.4 miles east of Boron, with a depth of about .4 miles, the USGS reported. Boron is about 40 miles northwest of Barstow.
