The 5:26 a.m. quake was centered about two miles west of Universal City. NBCLA Facebook visitors reported shaking in Burbank, Studio City, Valley Village, Sherman Oaks and other San Fernando Valley locations.

"I still can't believe it was that small," said Facebook visitor Christina Marshall. "It felt like a pretty hard jolt here in Valley Village."

The earthquake comes on the 20th anniversary of the devastating 1994 Northridge quake.
