An earthquake with preliminary magnitude 3.0 was reported Friday in the Yorba Linda area.
The quake centered five miles southeast of the Orange County community occurred at about noon, according to the USGS. Weak shaking was reported in Chino Hills, Placentia, Brea, Fullerton, Irvine, Yorba Linda and nearby communities.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
