The elegant French Regency home in the well-to-do Trousdale Estates had been on the market for months with a $30 million price tag before popping up on Airbnb and other home rental sites offering a getaway in the King's castle.
You'll need deep pockets for this retreat. With a minimum stay of four nights, the tab runs north of $12,000 — the cleaning fee alone is $500, according to the Airbnb listing.
Amenities include a master suite, fireplace, pool and spa. Concierge service is available around the clock, and guests are allowed to roam the 5,367-square-feet property. The house rules: no smoking, no parties without permission, no parking in front of the neighbor's house. Pets can tag along but first must be OK'd.
