More than 75 firefighters battled the blaze

It took firefighters about an hour to extinguish a greater alarm fire at a one-story corrugated metal building in Boyle Heights Wednesday morning.

The fire was reported before 11 a.m. in the 1500 block of Mirasol Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Arrests Made at Rose Parade

The building – 100 feet by 50 feet – was on fire and exposing nearby structures, officials said.

The building houses Ideal Brands, a business that manufactures and distributes personal hygiene and incontinence products.

More than 75 firefighters battled the blaze. Additional firefighters from the Vernon Fire Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department also assisted in putting out the blaze, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the arson unit, authorities said.
