Fireworks to Follow Tuesday Night's Dodger Game

Special uniforms and a military hero highlight the festivities, with more fun coming on the fourth.

A holiday fireworks show will follow Tuesday night's Los Angeles Dodgers-Pittsburgh Pirates game at Dodger Stadium.

Fans will be invited onto the field to watch the show, which will take place before 11 p.m. and is subject to cancellation if the game lasts too long.

The teams will wear uniforms marking Independence Day, with stars emblazoned on the Dodgers name and numbers on the front and back of the jerseys. The LA logo on the cap will be red, white and blue with stars.

Player socks will match the rest of the uniform with a stars and stripes pattern.

Major League Baseball will again donate its licensed uniform royalties for sale of Independence Day apparel to programs assisting service men and women, veterans and military families.

A ticket package including a three-quarter sleeve Fourth of July T- shirt is available at Dodgers.com/Patriots.

U.S. Army Master Sgt. Ramon Trujillo Jr. will be honored as the Military Hero of the Game. Trujillo enlisted in June 2001 and has served multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
