Three adults and two juveniles were arrested in connection with the death of a Thousand Oaks High school football player who died October 30, it was reported.
Griffen Kramer, the son of former NFL quarterback Erik Kramer died in his sleep at a friend's house in what police think may have been a drug overdose.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department searched six homes Thursday morning and arrested David Nernberg, 19, of Agoura Hills on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter and four others for unspecified misdemeanor allegations, Lt. John Corina told the Ventura County Star.
"We believe some of these people were involved in some type of narcotic activity that contributed to his death," Corina told the Star.
Fourty eight pieces of evidence were seized at the various homes, some of which included heroin, cocaine and marijuana, the Star reported.
Police are continuing their investigation and expect Kramer's toxicology reports in a few weeks.
Kramer transferred to Thousand Oaks from Agoura High School before his junior year. About 2,000 people attended his funeral earlier this month.
