Hamilton Premieres in LA, Ticket Lottery Available for $10

Theater fans can rejoice because Hamilton finally premiered at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre.

The first preview for Lin-Manuel Miranda's big hit is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, much to the anticipation of fans who purchased tickets when they came out in late April.

Opening night will be held Aug. 16. Tickets are still available for the musical.

The play focuses on the story of one of America's Founding Fathers, Alexander Hamilton. It features a score that blends a variety of genres that awarded the original Broadway cast recording a Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album in 2016.

Book, music and lyrics were created by Miranda while Thomas Kail directs and Andy Blankenbuehler choreographs.

The Pantages is offering orchestra seats starting at $650, while verified resale tickets are available from $236 for rear mezzanine.

Not to fret if your fiscal budget cannot cover those prices, for the Pantages is offering a $10 ticket lottery for all performances. The lottery will raffle 40 orchestra seats for each performance.

Fans interested in entering the lottery can use the official Hamilton app to enter, or can visit Lucky Seats' official website. Winners and non-winners will be notified the day prior to the performance through email or text message.

Lucky winners must purchase their $10 tickets online by 4 p.m. the day before the show. Any tickets not paid by the deadline will be forfeited.

The lottery opens at 11 a.m. two days prior to the performance date and closes entry at 9 p.m.

You can visit the Pantages Theatre's official website for more information on show times and ticket purchases.
