Residents Held at Gunpoint in Home Invasion

Four victims escaped, followed by three shots being heard according to witnesses

Three intruders broke into a Perris home early Thursday morning and held the residents at gunpoint, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

The victims were asleep when the attackers entered the home on the 2000 block of Medical Center Drive. Two of the three subjects were armed, one with a handgun and another with a sawed-off shotgun, authorities said.

After waking the victims, the subjects demanded money and property.

Four of the victims ran out the front door. The attackers followed and witnesses heard three gunshots, authorities said.

The subjects then fled from the scene and are still at large. No money or property was taken from the home and no one was injured by gunfire.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Perris Police Department at 951-210-1000.
