One Killed in Mid-City House Fire

The fire was contained to one room of the house

One person was killed early Tuesday in a house fire in the Mid-City area.

The fire was reported at about 5:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Orange Drive. Two other adults were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

The fire was contained to one room of the house west of downtown Los Angeles and knocked down in 14 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Details regarding the victim's identity and cause of the fire were not immediately available.
