Javier ‘Chicharito' Hernandez Hangs Out With Adrian Gonzalez and Yasiel Puig at Dodger Game

Mexican soccer star, Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez was spotted at Dodger Stadium on Friday, and chatted briefly with NBC LA.

Could Chicharito be on the move?

If you read the sports page of all the European newspapers it certainly seems that way, but for the time being, Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez is enjoying his vacation as he soaks up the sun in Los Angeles.

The Mexican international soccer superstar was at Dodger Stadium on Friday afternoon, spending time with countryman Adrian Gonzalez.

Gonzalez and Chicharito hung out before the Dodgers' game against the Kansas City Royals on Friday night and Gonzalez introduced the Bayer Leverkusen striker to teammates and soccer fanatics, Yasiel Puig and Justin Turner.

Puig had fun meeting the former Real Madrid star as the Cuban slugger has made no secret of his love for Real Madrid over the years. Puig loves the sport of soccer and even challenged Chicharito to a game of FIFA.

"I spent a little bit of time with him, and it was an honor to meet him," said Puig. "I buckled down and made sure I gave him a gift [a home run] for coming and visiting."

NBC LA caught up to Chicharito and asked him if the rumors of a potential move either back to the English Premier League or to a Los Angeles based team in the MLS were true, to which Hernandez responded, "you never know."

His new friend, Yasiel Puig, on the other hand, would like to see Chicharito don the kit of either the LA Galaxy or LAFC.

"Yes, yes. Of course I would go see him [if he came to LA]," Puig said about the prospects of Hernandez playing in the MLS in LA. "Now that we're friends I support him no matter where he goes, and hope everything turns out well."

In the meantime, Chicharito is enjoying some much needed time off after competing in the Confederations Cup in Russia.

Hernandez was not satisfied with El Tri's placing in the World Cup warm-up, believing his team should have defeated Portugal in the third place match.

The Guadalajara native and Mexico's all-time leading goal scorer credited eventual champion Germany's play in the tournament and said he will be watching Mexico's run in the Gold Cup taking place this month in the United States.

During Chicharito's conversation with NBC LA, current Dodger broadcaster and LAFC owner, Nomar Garciaparra, came up to meet and speak with Hernandez.

We reminded Nomar here was his chance to recruit the Mexican superstar to come play for LAFC in their inaugural season in 2018, but Nomar mentioned that his fellow owner, Will Ferrell had already done that, citing this video on ESPN from last week.

Whether or not Chicharito plays in Los Angeles is yet to be seen, but he has a year to decide as his contract with Leverkusen is up next Summer.

In the meantime, if Hernandez does head to the City of Angels, the first thing he'll need is a Dodger hat, something that Gonzalez made sure he had on Friday.
