Mr. JT, now what you got for me?

How about two prestigious awards for your play on the field, and generosity off of it?

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner was named the National League Player of the Month for August, as well as the team's recipient and nominee for the prestigious Roberto Clemente Award on Tuesday.

MLB Network announced early Tuesday morning that Turner was the Budweiser Presents recipient for NL Player of the Month for August after batting .402 with 22 runs scored, 11 doubles, a triple, six homers and 20 RBI in 25 games during the month to claim his first career POTM award.

Among qualified hitters in August, Turner finished first in hits, doubles, batting average and on-base percentage (.491). He finished second in slugging percentage (.722) and tied for second in runs scored and extra-base hits with 18.

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt and outfielder David Peralta finished second and third, respectively.

Simultaneously, Turner was also named the 2018 Roberto Clemente Award winner for the Dodgers, and the team's nominee, which is bestowed upon one player represented from every team who best represents the game of Baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions both on and off the field.

"Being nominated for the Roberto Clemente Award is not something that I take lightly, and I’m extremely proud and honored to be included among this special group of nominees from around the league," said Turner who founded the Justin Turner Foundation in 2016. "My wife Kourtney and I realize how blessed we are to have this platform, and are determined to use it to give back to the community and fans that have been so supportive of us."

Each team nominates one player to be considered for the individual award that was named after Roberto Clemente's achievements and character.

This marks the second consecutive year Turner has been nominated for the annual award and since joining the Dodgers in 2014, he has been an exemplary example of the team's community efforts, generously giving his time, energy, and money to support a variety of charitable endeavors throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

"Justin is a great representative of what a Dodger should be with incredible leadership and determination both on the field and in the community, and we’re proud to nominate him for the Clemente Award," said Naomi Rodriguez, Dodger Vice President of External Affairs and Community Relations. "Justin, Kourtney and the Justin Turner Foundation are irreplaceable civic assets, and we’re grateful for their tireless work to better the lives of service men and women, veterans, underserved youth, and families battling life-altering illnesses."

Clayton Kershaw was the last Dodger two win the award in 2012.
