LA Cookie Con to Sweeten a Stormy Weekend

Tie your apron on and make for Anaheim where demos and tastes shall deliciously reign.

  • Anaheim Convention Center

Rain may have a knack for summoning prodigious puddles, and colorful umbrellas, and springtime flowers, too, but it can also turn our thoughts to big bowls of gooey, chocolate-speckled, cinnamon-dusted dough.

For even if we don't have cookies in the oven, we probably have them in a jar, or a bag, and we're eating 'em by the handfuls. For wet weather? Is cookie weather. We won't even say "don't fight us," because as opinions go, it is rock solid.

And with masterful timing and a whole bunch of floury fun, the LA Cookie Con & Sweets Show will be rolling, like a macaroon on its side, into the Anaheim Convention Center on Saturday, Feb. 2 and Sunday, Feb. 3.

Did the organizers, when this particular weekend was selected, long ago, know that the short-range forecast would be 100% Goodie-Gobbling Weather?

Come on. It's as perfect as an oatmeal cookie with walnuts and extra raisins. Again: Don't fight us.

Will you need to rock an apron, a tall toque, and some flour on your face to attend?

Nope, but you just may want to don your cooking clothes as soon as you return home with fresh knowledge, some new products, and a desire to devour cookies on one very rainy SoCal weekend.
