LA Rams to Open Preseason at Home Against Dallas Cowboys

Kansas City, Denver and Minnesota round out the Rams' preseason schedule

The Los Angeles Rams will play the Dallas Cowboys Aug. 13 at LA Memorial Coliseum in the team's first preseason game since returning to Southern California.

The NFL released its preseason schedule Thursday. The Rams then host Kansas City before heading on the road to square off against the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos and the NFC Central champion Minnesota Vikings.

The Aug. 13 game means a short trip for the Cowboys, who train at a facility in Oxnard during the preseason. The camp is the site of an infamous brawl between the two teams during a joint practice in August 2015.

The regular season schedule has not been announced.

The Rams will play their home games at the historic Coliseum on the USC campus until their new stadium in Inglewood is ready in 2019.

The team accepted more than 56,000 season ticket deposits during a four-week campaign propelled by the announcement in January that the Rams will be returning to Southern California after leaving for St. Louis after the 1994 season. The team reported more than 5,000 deposits in the first five minutes that the site was live Jan. 18.
