Lanes on the southbound 5 Freeway reopened Wednesday near Cesar Chavez Avenue after crews cleared the wreckage from a four-vehicle crash.
The crash involving four vehicles occurred at about 4:45 a.m. A SigAlert remained in effect until about 6 a.m.
Details regarding injuries were not immediately available.
Travel remained slow through the area after the lanes reopened.
