A man who was wearing only shoes when he carjacked someone in the South Los Angeles area was arrested after a crash at the end of a police chase, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers sent to the 400 block of Broadway about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday chased the vehicle, which crashed a short time later, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect was injured in the crash, police said. His name was not immediately available.
Details about the carjacking and victim were not immediately available.
