Low Snow Keeps Drivers On Edge

It's winter, and it finally it feels like it.

Wednesday's second cold storm of the week brought low snow to the Cajon Pass. Shortly after noon, rain turned to snow and drivers faced a challenge they haven't seen much this year.

"This is kind of interesting," said driver Shawn Holt. "I've had the rain, snow, and a little sunshine because I came from Vegas. So, it's like the four seasons on one little trip."

"We hit the rain, hail and now snow," said driver Larry Morron, who was headed for Anaheim.

Interstate 15 is the way to and from Las Vegas, so the stretch that goes through Cajon Pass is almost full of Vegas travelers. Wednesday, that may have been even more the case because many people were returning home from quick trips to celebrate Valentine's Day in Nevada.

"I'm coming from Vegas," said Iryna Nuzhma. "I went to Valentine's Day in Vegas."

There was a traffic jam, especially on I-15 south. But by late afternoon, the skies were clearing and there were no reports of unusual delays.
