A preliminary magnitude-2.7 earthquake struck off the Oxnard coast Monday night, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The tremor hit at 8:05 p.m. about 12 miles south of Port Hueneme at a depth of nearly 6 miles, according to the USGS website.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
