Man Arrested in Convenience Store Robberies

A tipster identified the suspect and contacted authorities after watching surveillance footage that aired during a local news broadcast, according to police.

Chino Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for four robberies that all took place within an hour early Friday morning.

Detectives arrested 23-year-old Pomona resident Justin Noblitt at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Monday night.

Someone watching the news Monday recognized Noblitt in the surveillance footage released by police, and contacted authorities.

Caught on Camera: Robber May Have Hit Four Convenience Stores in Under an Hour

Claremont Police had detained Noblit on an unrelated matter at the time that Chino Police were tipped off.

Noblitt confessed to robbing three 7-Eleven locations and a Shell gas station and claimed up to four more robberies that allegedly took place, according to police. Police are currently looking into those claims.

Surveillance cameras captured video of a man wielding a knife and grabbing a cash drawer at the 7-Eleven at 12345 Mountain Ave. in Chino at approximately 3:50 a.m. Robberies were also reported at a 7-Eleven located at 4500 Holt Ave. in Montclair, a 7-Eleven located at 2563 S. Euclid Ave in Ontario, and a Shell gas station located at 2215 S. Archibald Ave. in Ontario in the hour that followed.
