Man Found Dead After Fatal Hit-and-Run in Santa Ana



    Fatal Hit and Run Crash That Killed Man Investigated

    A pedestrian found dead on a Santa Ana sidewalk was killed in a hit-and-run crash, police said.

    The crash occurred at 11:08 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of West 17th Street, said Santa Ana police Cmdr. Michael Claborn.

    Officers received an anonymous call regarding the pedestrian and found the victim dead on the sidewalk with debris in the roadway, Claborn said.

    The victim is believed to be in his 50s, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

    Officials said they believe the driver returned to the scene before they fled again. They are looking for a white vehicle.
