Man Shot, Killed in Reseda

The shooting occurred near Corbin Avenue and Sherman Way

Police are looking for a gunman who shot and killed a man Thursday night in Reseda.

The shooting occurred at about 5:40 p.m. near a liquor store on Corbin Avenue and Sherman Way, police said.

“We are unsure whether there was a verbal dispute or physical altercation,” officer Bruce Borihanah said.

Following the shooting, police were told the suspect ran toward an alley behind the liquor store.

The victim, thought to be in his 40s, was transferred to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead around 7:40 p.m., Borihanah said.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic between 25 and 35 years of age. He is thought to have a bald head and mustache, and was seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
