One man was killed after colliding with a street sweeper and light pole in Carson Friday morning.
Deputies responded around 2 a.m. to a crash near Maple Avenue and Alondra Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the driver of a pickup truck was traveling on Alondra Boulevard when he clipped or crashed into a street sweeper and then struck a light pole. The driver of the pickup was killed in the crash, officials said.
The driver of the street sweeper was injured in the collision but was released from medical care at the scene.
It was unknown what led to the crash, authorities said.
Alondra Boulevard between Avalon Boulevard and Maple Avenue was fully reopened just before 7 a.m.
