Man Killed in Mid-City Hit-and-Run

A 71-year-old man was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle and killed this morning outside the Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center in the Mid-City section of Los Angeles.

Police responded to the intersection of Cadillac Avenue and Venice Boulevard about 2:20 a.m. and located the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim was walking southbound on Venice Boulevard at the time of the crash, police said.

A description of the suspect vehicle was not immediately available.

The name of the victim was not disclosed.
