A 34-year-old man was arrested in connection with his mother's death after she was found inside a closet at a home in Hawthorne on Saturday, sheriff’s officials said.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives, who were assisting the Hawthorne Police Department, said the victim was found at a home in the 12700 block of Inglewood Avenue. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man, Nicolas Lopez was arrested on suspicion of killing his 57-year-old mother, Amparo Vasquez.
No further information was made available.
