    Police respond to a shooting in Long Beach that left one man dead.

    A 23-year-old man was shot dead in Long Beach, police said Sunday.

    The victim was identified as Jonathan Sandoval-Aleman, of Long Beach, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

    Officers were dispatched at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday to the area of Seventh Street and Orange Avenue, regarding a possible shooting. They found Sandoval-Aleman suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body.

    Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. It was not immediately known if the homicide was gang related.
