Man Shot, Killed at Lynwood Party

Deputies are continuing to investigate the death of a 27-year-old man who was shot and killed in Lynwood, authorities said Sunday.

The shooting was reported at 7 p.m. Saturday on the 12400 block of Harris Avenue, Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff's Information Bureau said.

Three men drove up to the apartment complex, got out of their car and approached a person who was attending a party at the location. There was a physical altercation between one of the suspects and the partygoer.

The victim tried to intervene, but one of the suspects shot him with a handgun.

The wounded man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Koerner said.

The three suspects fled in a car.
