Metro Gold Line Service Delayed in Pasadena

Metro Gold Line service was being delayed in the Highland Park and Pasadena areas Monday due to downed overhead lines that power the trains.

According to Metro spokesman Rick Jager, Gold Line trains from East Los Angeles were running only as far as the Southwest Museum Station. Trains from Azusa were running only to the Fillmore Station.

The agency has buses running between the affected stations, and is also running a train shuttle on the single available track between the Southwest Museum and Fillmore stations, also providing service to the Highland Park and South Pasadena stations.

Jager said the service disruption is expected to continue through the evening, so passengers should expect at least 30-minute delays. It was unclear what caused the lines to topple.
