A Brentwood husband and wife say they received an unexpected visit Tuesday night when a big cat smashed through a window of their home.
According to Los Angeles Police Department, the homeowners locked themselves in a bedroom to avoid the animal, possibly a bobcat. It apparently leaned against the sliding glass door, causing it to shatter, police said.
It briefly stayed inside the residence before leaving back into the darkness.
LAPD showed up to the couple's home on Old Ranch Road and searched the area with flashlights and a shotgun, but the animal was no longer seen on the property.
