"The 53-year-old Plaza has been updated into an accessible, welcoming outdoor urban space as a 'plaza for all' to enjoy," is the word from the team behind the rethink, and the fruits of many people's labors are about to be unveiled this August.
So when can you visit this newly realized destination, which spans between the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and Mark Taper Auditorium? "Soon" is the accurate answer. The people behind Music Center Plaza revealed on July 11 that the cultural nexus will make its re-debut on Aug. 28, with three days of free public happenings over Labor Day Weekend (beginning on Aug. 30).
