National Hot Dog Day Deal at Dog Haus

Doing dinner with a pal? July 19 could be a money-saving day for you both.

Buy one, get one?

It's the sort of deal that can pop up at any point on the calendar, but, let's be honest: Summer kind of rocks the socks of this particular, and particularly attractive, concept.

Because we're looking to de-fuss and de-fret during this sunny stretch, and if that involves not weighing down the pockets of our board shorts, or swimsuit cover-up, with too many extra coins, so be it.

Add in National Hot Dog Day, which is as summery as countrywide cuisine-related holidays come, and you have a prime moment for buy-one-get-one-ism, if a hot dog-famous chain is willing to step up to the plate. (Not the baseball plate in this case, but a plate for food.)

Dog Haus is doing just that on Wednesday, July 19, the bun-iest occasion of the year, and the mustard-iest and chopped onion-iest, too. It's National Hot Dog Day, as was hinted at in the previous paragraph, and all of the 24 Dog Haus shops (in five states) are offering customers the chance to purchase one Haus Dog and get the next one for zero dollars.

Asterisks? You have to dine there, yep. And this is only for the hot dogs, and not the other choices on the menu, like burgers. It isn't National Hamburger Day, as any calendar will reveal, so no need to pretend like it is.

That's in late May, by the way, so horses? They're best held.
