Body Found on Beach Identified as 20-Year-Old Bellflower Woman

The subject of a suspicious death investigation was identified as 20-year-old Tina Hoang

The body of a woman found facedown in the sand near a lifeguard tower in Newport Beach has been identified as that of 20-year-old Bellflower resident Tina Hoang, according to the Orange County Coroner's Office.

Hoang was found Monday morning at West Ocean Front and Highland Street near lifeguard tower No. 71. She was pronounced dead at the scene, but authorities said Thursday they have not determined a cause of death.

Newport Beach detectives are investigating the case as a suspicious death. Autopsy and toxicology test results are pending.

The body was discovered at about 6 a.m. Monday near the water line. Investigators checked security cameras and vehicles parked near the beach.
