Nursing Attendant Allegedly Sexually Assaults Patient at SoCal Hospital

Detectives have released his photo in an effort to identify any other potential victims.

A nursing attendant at USC Medical Center has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a patient in a hospital examination room, officials said.

On Wednesday, 25-year-old Terrence Tekoh allegedly assaulted a patient who was awaiting a medical procedure.

According to detectives, Tekoh confessed to the allegations.

Tekoh was a contract worker with the hospital and was employed by Cross Country Per Diem. He had been working in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Department at USC Medical Center since July 2012. His employment has been terminated amid the sexual assault allegations.

Tekoh has been charged with sexual penetration by foreign object and is set to appear in court Apr. 10. His bail is set at $100,000.

Detectives have released his photo in an effort to identify any other potential victims.

"This is the only incident that we are aware of. Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking the public to assist us if there happens to be anyone else out in the community that may have been in contact with the suspect," an official said.

The LA County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Bureau is investigating the case.
