Malik Omar Malveaux was charged with three counts of human trafficking a minor, four counts of pandering with a minor and other felonies.

A 21-year-old Oakland man has been charged with pimping three underage girls in Santa Ana, according to court records obtained Thursday.

Malik Omar Malveaux was charged with three counts of human trafficking a minor, four counts of pandering with a minor, two counts of attempting to pimp a minor and a count of pimping a minor, all felonies.

He also faces sentencing enhancement allegations for human trafficking with force and fear of a minor.

Just before 7 a.m. Saturday, police working on prostitution on Harbor Boulevard at Hazard Avenue made contact with a 16-year-old, who was turned over to social workers for help, Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.

That led police to Malveaux, who was found about 8:15 a.m. Sunday at a local motel, Bertagna said.

Police arrested him in a motel room with two other girls, 13 and 15, who he was allegedly pimping, Bertagna said. The girls were turned over to social workers for help, he added.
