On Sale Friday: Coachella 2014

OutKast, Muse, and Arcade Fire are on the full-to-bursting soundscape-wide line-up.

There is really no direct internet web site-to-real life 1:1 correlation, but the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival comes pretty dang close.

What we mean is this: You might visit a music web site and see band after top band, all in one listing, and think, "well, I'll need to go to a hundred shows to see 'em all." Coachella is that web site, in one place, a hundred shows in total, or more, and it shall be again when entertains thousands from April 11-13 and April 18-20.

Tickets to the springtime soundscape spectacular go on sale on Friday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. Coachella time.

So, yes, you'll see pretty much every top name in music, or so it would seem, over the two-weekend party, but what are in-bold bands? OutKast is the first one, topping the two Friday nights. Yep, it is a reunion, yes indeedy, meaning fans who've waited the better part of the decade to see Andre Benjamin and Antwan Patton hey-ya it up shall be beyond the beyond.

The rest of the headline-y haps are as huge: Muse is the headliner for the Saturdays. And Sunday #1 and Sunday #2? Arcade Fire.

Other performers performing under the desert sun include Lorde, Beck, Zedd, Foster the People, Bryan Ferry, and dozens of other acts from every corner of the universe where instrument and voice come together in short bursts of glorious song.

Take note as you head into the Coachella site for ticket info and such; fans are grouping en masse for more news and tickets, so things may get as slow as the 10 Freeway into Cabazon on the first Friday of the festival.
